Without your help and support, the Flying Yankee would likely be lost to time, remaining exposed to the elements, sitting on blocks, and quite possibly scrapped in the end. With help from you and the rest of the caring global community, the Flying Yankee Association's goal will always be to purchase, relocate, restore, house, and operate the Flying Yankee for future generations to enjoy. Help us return one of the few remaining Zephyrs to the American rails in New England.
The FYA will also accept material donations! Machinery, PPE and safety equipment, artifacts, or parts are all examples of donations that can support the restoration! Businesses that seek to provide sponsorships, services, or donations are urged to contact us at info@flyingyankee.org.
Matching Donation
The Flying Yankee Association has kickstarted its campaign to return the iconic Flying Yankee to the high iron with a large matching donation. Every dollar donated to the FYA will be doubled by a generous donor, up to $500,000. To date, we have secured pledges from several donors totaling $235,000. With the match applied, the FYA has $470,000 available in funding! The amount remaining from the donation is $265,000, meaning the FYA has the potential to raise additional monies in the amount of $530,000. The FYA is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, and all donations are tax-deductible.
The Flying Yankee Association will not call in pledges, sell memberships, or solicit other donations until an agreement for the train is in place with the State of New Hampshire.
